Height

Everyone wants to be taller than someone else.  It was interesting to watch them line up by height from tallest to shortest by themselves.  After we got it straightened out  we talked about height.  How children grow sometimes in spurts and because of that you may be not as tall as you might like to be now.  Things will change.  I measured them all and we will post a tape chart of their heights and talk a little more about it for our next science class.  The children that brought in their comparisons of themselves and someone at home presented to the class.

We read My Body in reading today.  I am happy how most have taken to their journals and started to really create stories.  In handwriting it was numbers 7 and 8.  The children had music today and are practicing one of their Christmas play songs.

In math it was lesson 5-1 as we move on to the numbers 11-20.  We celebrated Luke acheiving five hours of practice and 1,000 questions answered in IXL.

So far so good on a PJ party, movie and popcorn this Friday.  I will keep you posted.

Who’s Taller Than Who?
