Today we hosted the Grades 2-5 in our classroom for pledge, prayer, Go Noodle, and a lesson from the New Testament on how Jesus healed the leapers and saying Thank You.  We ended with the song Day by Day from Godspell.

Math – K – Lesson 2-8 Ordering numbers from 0 to 5
1st – Lesson 2-7 Stories about missing parts (subtraction)

Author Visit – We had a wonderful presentation and reading of Are You My Dad?  We learned a lot about penguins and the writing process.  Our author, Leslie Scott-Kelly, signed the children’s books.

Reading – K/1 – Leveled readers and for our Kinders we read together Dad and I

Word of the Day – K – “in”
1st – Language – Adjectives – More describing words.

Book Flix Read Aloud – A film and read along Antarctica.

Letter of the Day – K – “Z”
1st – “u” words and in language Commas Part 2

Science – We were thrilled to have Jeff and Nancy Wells in to give a presentation on Rocks along with a great display of his collection.  The sand pit and demonstration of erosion and mountain building was amazing.
